Because appointed to promote apprenticeships

Because has been appointed by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to create an interactive stand to promote apprenticeships in the Yorkshire and Humber area.

The stand, which will be present at Skills Yorkshire and Humber, will consist of a 'career tree' complete with LSC-branded leaves.

Attached to the end of the tree's branches will be 15in LCD televisions showing inspirational films of young people recounting their apprenticeship experiences.

The area surrounding the tree will be covered with Astroturf grass and scattered with laptops on tree stumps for teenagers to access the LSC's dedicated website.

Trained brand ambassadors and apprentices will offer information on the apprenticeship scheme to teenagers, parents, teachers and careers advisers.

Skills Yorkshire and the Humber is exclusively sponsored by the LSC.

This year's event takes place on 8-9 October at the Sheffield Arena.
