The Electoral Commission has appointed BEcause Experiential Marketing to roll out a national face-to-face campaign to increase voter registration among students in the UK.

A two-sided 'Have you registered?' graffiti wall will be touring 42 UK university campuses throughout February and March Students will be encouraged to write messages on the wall about what being able to vote means for them, while trained Brand Ambassadors will explain why voting matters and encourage students to fill out a registration form on the spot

Research shows that 22 per cent of university students are not registered to vote, compared to around 8-9 per cent of the general population.

Sharon Richey, MD of BEcause Experiential Marketing, commented: "By talking directly with students we aim to address any objections or misunderstandings that students may have about voting, and make it as easy as possible for them to register".
