BCS Public Relations joins COI PR roster

A BCS product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Feb 16, 2009

BCS Public Relations has beaten off competition to join the East Midlands PR framework for the government's Central Office of Information (COI).

This means that the agency is one of only three companies that can be appointed to handle COI campaigns in the region, which could include activities such as promoting government initiatives.

The COI PR framework, which is worth around GBP15 million a year, was reviewed in May 2008 and became operational at the end of last year.

The EU procurement regulations state that all suppliers capable of working on a COI brief must be able to be considered for the work.

To simplify this process, COI divided up certain geographic and subject areas into 'lots and labels', of which the East Midlands was one.
