An August Media product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Nov 1, 2007

IKEA Family LIVE, the international customer magazine produced by August Media, is launching in China, Hungary, Slovakia, Portugal and the Czech Republic.

The quarterly title, which focuses on showing real people in real homes, will now be produced for 21 countries with a combined global print run of over 20 million copies.

It was launched in the UK last year, distributed in store with a cover price of GBP2 and available free of charge to members of IKEA's loyalty programme.

This announcement follows the UK's success in the most recent set of ABC figures, where it posted the highest circulation figure in the Women's Interest: Home section at 487,815 copies, ahead of consumer titles such as Good Housekeeping and Ideal Home.

Mark Lonergan, Managing Director of August Media, commented: "The launch into these new and diverse markets is testimony to the fact that our publishing model works.

"On the face of it a complex process is now actually quite simple to roll-out, which is why we have been able to launch in so many countries this year".

August Media is a customer publishing agency based in London.

It was established in August 2005 by Mark Lonergan, Sarah Bravo and Jules Rogers.

The agency produces customer magazines for a range of multinational and UK-based clients, including one of the biggest and most complex customer magazines in the world for IKEA Family LIVE, which is published in 21 countries and languages and has a combined global print run of over 20 million copies.

It also publishes the highly respected property magazine @HOME for Strutt and Parker, the stakeholder magazine for City and Guilds and is launching family holiday chain Butlins' first customer publication later this year.
