Audemos, an agency specialising in sound, has produced Talking Tummies - a series of magazine-style audio podcasts covering every stage of pregnancy - for Discovery Home and Health.

Launching on 8 September, this unique podcast series will be available via the Discovery Home and Health website and iTunes The 36 10-minute programmes are presented by Lisa Shingler, the "voice" of Discovery Home and Health TV and also feature guest experts from the midwifery and medical world as well as voxpops from over 50 expectant and recent mothers

There are also two programmes offering tips and advice for dads-to-be.

The series will be promoted offline and online by Discovery Home and Health.

TV promos promoting the series will also run on Discovery Home and Health plus online banners will be placed on key parenting and pregnancy websites.

Curtis James, Audemos managing director, said: "Whilst there is a wealth of information available for mums-to-be in both print and web format there are currently no other equivalent services of this quality for the duration of pregnancy available via iTunes or other podcasting directory in the UK or worldwide.

"As with all our productions we have ensured Talking Tummies puts quality editorial content to the fore with a wide range of expert advice and topics covered week by week and unique sonic branding throughout".

"The 'Talking Tummies' podcast is a really unique concept that serves to extend our terrific Home and Health content into other platforms", commented Rebecca Rormark, SVP Marketing, Discovery Networks UK.

"Just last week, Ofcom's annual report on digital take-up revealed interestingly that women aged 25-49 are the key drivers of the web, spending more time on the internet than men.

"This multimedia campaign is an innovative way for us to connect with that audience through quality editorial content that is synergistic with the Home and Health brand on-air".
