UK total TV viewing forecast to rise
Attentional's latest forecasts suggest that a number of factors will combine to offer a brighter future for UK television over the next five years than previously anticipated.
The study has successfully tackled a complex and highly controversial issue, looking at the possible legal, economic and cultural impact of territorial conditions attached to State Aid.
Attentional assisted in particular with work on the analysis of co-productions within the 25 member states covered by the study, as well as the investigation into the cultural impact of any possible changes to current rules.
This study continues Attentional's success in European projects, following studies on Article 25(a) of the Television Without Frontiers Directive for the European Commission and The Digital Delivery of Film for the European Parliament.
Attentional is currently leading a study on the application of Articles 3i, 4 and 5 of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMS) to both linear and nonlinear services.
The study, set to complete by the end of 2008, will make recommendations on how to monitor compliance with AVMS in respect of both linear and nonlinear services.
