A4U Expo Europe offers affiliate marketing insight

The heads of the largest and most influential affiliate networks across Europe are to debate the future of the performance marketing sector at the A4U Expo Europe in Munich on 18-19 May 2010.

The leaders of Affilinet, Zanox, Tradedoubler and Linkshare plus US affiliate marketing company Clickbank will give their views on where they see future growth potential.

The two-day affiliate marketing event will also bring together some of the other forward-thinking minds in the online world, with sessions aimed at educating advertisers and agencies about the full potential of the sector as well as presentations to stimulate affiliates to push their reach and expertise still further.

On day one, Affilinet and Explido will look at the customer journey and future of CPA.

Kevin Edwards, UK head of Affiliate Window, will give insights into how advertisers should embrace voucher code activity to increase customer baskets.

In addition, Ewan Darby, affiliate manager at Neo@Ogilvy, will offer hints and tips on brand protection and management for advertisers.

Phillipp Justus, chief executive officer at Zanox, will give an analysis of the evolution of online monetisation, while Albrecht Fischer from Commission Junction, Alan Goldstein from Loylogic and Maureen McDonagh from Nectar, will show advertisers how they can optimise their relationships with incentive sites such as cashback and loyalty.

Day two will begin with a presentation from Ebay on the benefits of adopting a quality adjusted pricing model, followed by tips on how to avoid friction over post-view tracking from Ronald Paul of Quisma.

Lina Patel from Lastminute.com and Tina Judic from Artemis8 will give insider tips on strategic performance-based paid search techniques, while Tradetracker will host a panel debate looking at online and offline convergence following the launch of the latest affiliate marketing toolsets such as Impact Radius.

For those advertisers looking at using the affiliate channel to boost their existing direct marketing activity, Heike Lindner from Mediaplex will also give an overview of how direct marketing works in affiliate marketing, explaining its success factors and benefits.
