The shape, size and future development of the European affiliate marketing scene will be debated for the first time at this year's A4uexpo Europe Affiliate Marketing Conference and Exhibition.

Information, views and analysis of the market and its potential growth will be available to delegates during the two-day programme, which will take place on 28-29 April 2009 at RAI Congress Centre in Amsterdam.

It will feature some of the leading affiliate marketing specialists and digital online practitioners from across the globe.

Matthew Wood, founder and organiser of A4uexpo Europe, said: 'A4uexpo is all about educating, inspiring and motivating and the conference agenda for our inaugural European event certainly looks set to do that.

'The size and shape of the European affiliate marketing scene has never truly been looked at in such a focused way and alongside more practical advice sessions, open-mike debates and fun interactive workshops, A4uexpo Europe will be a must-attend event for anyone who works in the sector or is thinking about ways to increase ROI [return on investment] from it.

With more than 40 different sessions, the agenda has been constructed in liaison with the industry leaders who make up the A4uexpo exhibition's Speaker Advisory Board.

It has been developed to educate everyone working in and around the affiliate marketing arena, from new starters to the most experienced practitioners, and will cover the latest topics, challenges and opportunities within the industry on a pan-European level.

Looking at how affiliate marketing fits into the broader marketing mix, there will be sessions on the different roles that individual parties play in its delivery; how to optimise international programmes; and focused panel discussions highlighting how the sector differs from country to country across Europe.

Wood added: 'With the current economic climate, a large focus will also be placed on conversion rate and landing page optimisation this year, with practical strategies on converting and pre-selling the user - helping to achieve more sales whether derived from paid, affiliate or organic traffic.

Alongside this, organic search-engine optimisation (SEO) will also take centre stage with some of Europe's SEO experts discussing the latest strategy.

With informative presentations ranging from Wordpress optimisation, how to make online content sell harder and the construction and management of data feeds, there will also be plenty of hands-on knowledge available too.

Wood said: 'While showcasing the industry in context with other complementary channel activity such as search, social media and, of course, the continuing rise of cashback and voucher code sites, we've also included some sessions that will look at the more contentious side of our business including de-duplication, affiliate transparency and other key ethical issues in a bid to make this event as useful and thought-provoking as we can.

'With additional sessions on extreme SEO strategies, latest gadgets, the online purchaser journey and the importance of domain names in optimising web traffic, A4uexpo Europe will be this year's one-stop shop in Europe for anyone looking to maximise their affiliate marketing activity still further,' he added.
