Daly steps down as AEO Chairman
Following the announcement of her departure from dmg world media, AEO chairman Brenda Daly is to step down from the AEO board with effect from 31 July.

The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) will host its 2007 Conference in Manchester Central, the new name for G-MEX/MICC, on 6 September 2007.
She will make an announcement in the near future about her plans.
Daly commented: "After such a long time at dmg, it is with a genuinely heavy heart that I leave the company and the fantastic team in the UK, many of whom have worked directly with me for a number of years, but the time is right for me both professionally and personally to move on and I look forward with excitement as to what lies ahead." Michael Franks, COO dmg world media, said that "after nine years Brenda Daly has become a friend as well as a colleague to many of us in Harrow and around the dmg world.
"We are sorry to lose someone of Brenda's talent and wish her well and the best of luck in her future endeavours".
With reference to the AEO, Daly commented: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the AEO Chair, albeit shorter than originally planned.
"The association is fortunate enough to have extremely focused and dedicated board members, whom I have had the pleasure of working with for some time now.
"I wish Hilary, her team and the AEO every success for the future".
AEO vice chairman Chris Hughes, Managing Director of Brand Events, will assume the role as acting chairman until the annual general meeting in September, following which the board will elect a new chairman and vice chairman.
Hilary Lawson, AEO Director, commented: "Brenda has been a fantastically supportive chairman and I wish her every success with her future plans.
"We have worked closely with Chris Hughes as vice chairman over the last year and can assure members that there will be a smooth transition as he temporarily picks up the reins.".
