The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) will host its 2007 Conference in Manchester Central, the new name for G-MEX/MICC, on 6 September 2007.

The event for 350 delegates will use the venue's Exchange Hall (the new name for the original Great Northern Hall), and the state-of-the-art, 800-seat Exchange Auditorium This will be the 7th annual conference for AEO, which has previously visited venues such as the ICC in Birmingham and The Brewery in London

Hilary Lawson, AEO Director, said: "It's great to have confirmed Manchester Central as the venue for this year's conference, which brings together 350 of the 'movers and shakers' in the events and exhibition industry, to take a strategic look at what's happening in the market.

"Both the city and the venue really got behind the event proposal, and we were impressed by what they have to offer.

"We're looking forward to taking the event to Manchester Central and are pleased that, once again, Revelation Event Management will be managing the event".

Paula Lorimer, Manchester Central's Sales Director who brokered the deal, said: "We're delighted that AEO have chosen to host the annual conference at Manchester Central this year; it is an important occasion on the convention circuit and demonstrates the ever-increasing portfolio of high-profile events opting to use the venue in this new Manchester Central era.".
