'Power Up' Final Cut Pro masterclass announced

Academy Class has announced 'Power Up' - a one-day Final Cut Pro masterclass with Larry Jordan as a finale to its season of nationwide seminars on 22 July 2009.

The event is being held in central London, and is open to a maximum of 20 delegates, who will discover advanced techniques to become more productive on FCP, learn tricks and tips not taught in regular training, solve nagging technical questions, and get answers from a Final Cut Studio expert.

This hands-on training class is designed to provide intensive, in-depth training in a classroom atmosphere.

Session one of the masterclass includes: getting the best colour correction in Final Cut Pro; what the video scopes are really telling you; a fast, seven-step automatic approach to colour correction; using manual colour correction to get your colours right; matching colours between shots; and creating eye-catching colour effects in Final Cut Pro.

Session two of 'Power Up' includes: professional audio mixing in Soundtrack Pro; working with Final Cut projects in Soundtrack Pro; audio editing in a multi-track timeline; the key audio filters you really need to know; complex mixing using buses, sends, and sub-mixes; and basics of surround-sound in Final Cut.

Session three of the masterclass includes: compressing video for the web; what is compressor really?; you're a pro so customise your settings; automating tasks in compressor; Youtube if you want to with Compressor; converting HD to SD video; and getting the best quality out of Final Cut.
